The most common magnetic stainless steels are grade 409 stainless steel, 430, and 439, all ferritic steels. There are also martensitic steels and stainless steel grades 410, 420, and 440. Moreover, magnetic SS 410 is martensitic stainless steel with 11.5 percent chromium and high corrosion resistance. Stainless Steel 410 Circle has a good scaling resistance at temperatures up to 1200 degrees F.
Magnetic Stainless Steel 430 Rings are noted for their formability and practical mechanical properties, as well as their resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting. Magnetic SS 430 Circle can be used in chemical applications because of its resistance to nitric acid. Magnetically manufactured Stainless Steel Circle is resistant to freshwater, alkalis, air, and mild acid. Magnetic Steel 420 Circle has a smooth finish and gives excellent results. Magnetic Stainless Steel 439 Rings have good corrosion resistance in moderately corrosive conditions due to their standard 17 percent chromium composition. At high temperatures, it also resists an oxidation process. Stainless Steel 439 is ferritic stainless steel, resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
